Description Provides repairs, scheduled maintenance, and calibration on diagnostic imaging equipment and ancillary equipment used within the imaging environment. Services imaging equipment in assigned geography which may include but not limited to the following modalities: CR, Portables, C-Arms, conventional X-Ray, R&F, tomography, mammography, ultrasound, CT, MRI, Cath labs, nuclear medicine or linear accelerators. Demonstrates broad knowledge of electronic theory, technology, and test equipment. Demonstrates broad knowledge of color code conventions used in component and wiring marking. Operates a wide variety of hand-tools, power tools, and test equipment used in the repair, testing and calibration of medical equipment. Takes safety precautions while performing service-related activities with electrical equipment and identifies means to make a safer environment. Participates in the local lock out, tag out (LOTO) program
Performs repair, calibration, testing, and preventative maintenance on a variety of imaging devices according to manufacturer's specifications. Demonstrates knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology as applied to use of imaging devices. Runs diagnostic programs on a broad range imaging devices and uses results to identify any issues. Follows through on any necessary repairs/calibrations. Maintains an adequate supply of specific and common spare parts to reduce equipment downtime. Demonstrates knowledge of ultrasound and X-Ray physics
Demonstrates knowledge of the application and repair of infrastructure supporting imaging equipment (e.g., computers, servers network equipment). Runs various diagnostic programs (e.g., ScanDisk, Ping, Trace Route, OS commands). Demonstrates basic knowledge of network theory and how it applies to Providence medical assets. Understands and assists in the configuration of DHCP operations. Provides basic troubleshooting of PACS, DICOM and Imaging Networks.
