Genesis10 is currently seeking a Sr. Product Owner with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Maximize the value for a product
- Define the vision and roadmap for a product and articulating this to both stakeholders and the development team
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with the product manager in a scaled Agile model to ensure there is alignment
- Create the vision and roadmap for the product to align with strategic direction for the business or technology domain
- Communicate the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders and the team and drives user adoption
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, problems, and align them on priorities
- Work in partnership with the team to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and through an advanced understanding of the business
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand their objectives and define a clear, strategic vision
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with the long-term goals of the business and the organization's data strategy
- Collaborate with various business areas to anticipate their needs and translate them into actionable, detailed requirements
- Ensure that business needs are effectively communicated to development teams, fostering a shared understanding of goals and priorities
- Become a trusted subject matter expert on given applications, with a deep understanding of the business processes, technology landscape, and data flows within the domain
- Provide insights into how the given product intersects with other business and technology areas, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration
- Act as a liaison to ensure alignment, manage expectations, and drive consensus across diverse groups
- Effectively articulate the product vision, roadmap, and required changes to both technical teams and business stakeholders
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience as a product owner/program owner or similar role, preferably in a technology-driven environment
- Experienced with cross-functional teams
- Experienced in the role of a product owner, expert of the product, and has a deep understanding of the business or technology domain
- Hands-on experience managing stages of the product life cycle
- Demonstrated ability to gather requirements and document business processes
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders
- Exceptional presentation and articulation skills
- Knowledge of software development technologies
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and conflict-resolution ability
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills and project delivery experience
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into clear and detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
- Deep understanding of data strategies, enterprise architecture, and technology trends
- Proficiency in Agile management tools such as JIRA
- Ability to run simple to complex SQL queries
- Prior Financial/Banking Experience
- Experience working with teams in different locations, coordination of tasks
- Proficient in handling end-to-end planning and coordination
Pay range:
$66.39 - $74.39
