Description Leidos currently has an opening for an experienced Contracts Manager to support international work in our Land Systems Business Area within the Defense Systems sector. This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills and experience to support the international portfolio of cutting-edge technology to protect our warfighters to include FMS and DCS. The selected candidate will report to the Contracts Director and support all contract management activities for a diverse portfolio of contracts. Individual contributor role. The position is based in Huntsville, Alabama with telework offered. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The candidate should have significant experience and expert knowledge of negotiating and providing cradle-to-grave contract administration for domestic and international CP, FFP, T&M Government contracts including RFP analysis, hands-on proposal development and review, the development of international terms and conditions, coordination of appropriate internal reviews, strategic contract negotiation, and contract/task order administration and execution.
- Candidate will be responsible for overall contract compliance of assigned tasks in accordance with contract requirements, company policy and procedures, and applicable laws.
- Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision as part of a team of company professionals supporting proposal preparation and a portfolio of contracts.
- Candidate must be able to multi-task and prioritize work activities in a fast-paced environment and effectively communicate at all levels within the organization. Prompt responsiveness to internal and customer requirements and deadlines is critical.
- The candidate will frequently interact via written, oral, and face-to-face means with other contracts and procurement staff, functional peers, program management, and external and internal customers.
- Scope of work includes reviewing and negotiating non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, NDAs, and licenses as required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires a BA degree and 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience; alternatively, may have a Master's or Juris Doctor degree with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience.
- In-depth knowledge of domestic and international contracting, U.S. Government regulations (FAR / DFARS), and all contract types: Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time & Materials (T&M), Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF), Fixed Price Level of Effort (FPLOE), Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), and General Service Administration (GSA) type contracts.
- Proven ability to solicit and process complex information and data to solve complex problems and make sound business decisions, handle multiple contractual activities with a short turn-around time, and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Provide the oversight and evaluation of major proposals; monitor major contracts; be a critical asset in key negotiations; demonstrate ability to resolve multi-faceted and complex contractual/customer issues as they arise; resolve performance issues; identify risks and propose mitigation strategies; guide others through change management; ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and Leidos policies; draft clear, concise, and legally sound contracts; effectively review and analyze contract terms to include intellectual property provisions; and develop and maintain excellent customer relationships.
- The Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal skills with measured and articulate communication, well-developed analysis, and presentation skills; ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, and reconcile issues or differences
- Experience with Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and other legal instruments is a must. Additionally, candidate will have a strong background in license agreements and organizational conflict of interest considerations.
- Remote performance may be considered; however, the candidate must be available to report to the Huntsville office on a regular basis.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a final secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with international contracting, FMS, DCS, large IDIQs, and multiple active task orders directly with the U.S. Government

Pay Range:Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
