Fidelity Technologies is seeking to hire a System Administrator III (IAT Level 3) in the San Diego/Oceanside, CA area, and the Jacksonville/New Bern, NC area. Both positions are for immediate hire and start. These positions involve working with military simulators in cleared SECRET spaces and the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance is required. Applicants must also possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead teams of Cyber Security professionals and interface with U.S. Government customers. This is not an entry level position. Best applicants will submit a cover letter explaining why they are a good fit for this role. Applicants must possess the following to be considered:

System Administrator (SA) III Qualifications

  1. Seven (7) years of Cybersecurity (CS) experience in secure network and system analysis, procedure/test generation, test execution and implementation of computer/network security mechanisms.
  2. Minimum of DOD Approved Baseline Certification as System Administrator Advanced in accordance with DOD 8570.07-M (i.e., Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science from an ABET accredited college or university).
  3. Expert knowledge in all basic and intermediate cybersecurity functions.
  4. Extensive operational knowledge of vulnerability management tools such as Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Evaluate-Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) Tool and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
  5. Extensive knowledge of CS methods, principles, and governance to ensure the secure integration, operation and maintenance of all training system environments, networks, and enclaves.
  6. Working knowledge of CS instructions and practices (e.g., CJCSM 6510.01 series- Defense-In-Depth: Information Assurance (IA) and Computer Network Defense (CND); and DoDI 8500.1 Cybersecurity).
  7. Ability to work independently to solve complex CS problems.
  8. Ability to supervise and direct the work of subordinate Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) personnel.
  9. Within six (6) months of assignment, complete Government sponsored training on the Trellix Endpoint Security System (ESS) and the DoD Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and be able to assist Government Cyber personnel in the configuration and sustainment of ESS, and able to execute, analyze and remediate vulnerability scans upon request by the MC ATS ISSM/ISSO.
  10. Within six (6) months of assignment, obtain a Computing Environment/Operating System certificate applicable to the training devices being supported.
  11. Complete at least 20 hours of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) annually or what is required to maintain personnel certification; whichever is greater.



System Administrator SA III Duties and Responsibilities: The SA III duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Plan and conduct CS continuous monitoring and associated analysis to maintain the CS posture of training system environments, networks, and enclaves
  2. Lead local and remote teams within area of responsibility and/or support actions to quickly remediate, mitigate or otherwise resolve IA problems and vulnerabilities;
  3. Ensure a POAM is created for each training systems platform that captures all open ACAS/STIG findings that could not be remediated or mitigated and submit the POAM to the MC ATS ISSM/ISSO using the applicable/authorized transport.
  4. Ensure accurate, complete, and timely reporting of scan results with associated artifacts using applicable Continuous Monitoring and Risk Scoring (CMRS) tools/platforms.
  5. Assist MC ATS ISSM/ISSO with the preparation and submission of RMF security authorization packages for initial and renewal Authorizations-to-Operate (ATO) for training systems.
  6. Coordinate CS/ATO requirements with Government CS personnel, including the ISSM, ISSO, ISEO, and COR.
  7. Assist MC ATS ISSM/ISSO and ISE with the initial installation of system patches/STIGs for specific training systems platform (e.g., 2F200 device SN 01)
  8. Coordinate and supervise subsequent installation of system patches/STIGs for remaining training device of that specific platform (e.g., remaining 2F200 training devices at the site)
  9. Support the installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems, and software applications ensuring integration with CS security requirements for the training systems
  10. Ensure the proper back-up of training systems software in preparation for installation of system patches/STIGs or other CS related maintenance actions.
  11. Support, monitor, test and troubleshoot hardware and software CS problems to resolution.
  12. Support the MC ATS ISSM/ISSO, ISE and COR in the validation of CS technical and procedural documentation (i.e., System Administrator Guides).
  13. Plan and perform scheduled CS specific preventive maintenance of computer systems and network components.
  14. Develop and conduct initial, annual and refresher CS training for subordinate CSWF personnel.


Assist Site Manager in the preparation CS related reports and CDRLs.
