As a Screener at this location, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming environment for individuals in need of shelter. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will engage with residents and visitors while providing excellent customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and screen individuals entering the location, following site-specific security-related procedures and protocols.
• Provide customer service by answering questions, giving directions, and assisting individuals as needed.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
• Document observations, activities, and incidents in accordance with Allied Universal and client site requirements.
• Communicate with Allied Universal management and the client on site as needed regarding security-related concerns.
• Support emergency response activities as directed by site-specific policies and procedures.
• Help to deter disruptive behavior by maintaining a professional presence within the shelter environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
