Network Systems Engineer II
Overview Develops, executes and evaluates IT Infrastructure, multi-site local-area network (LAN), wide-area network (WAN) and wireless network systems and engineering processes; performs technical analyses and provides specific systems engineering support; deploys systems, creates and evaluates systems requirements, and implements quality assurance and evaluation activities. Participates in formulating an enterprise network strategy with senior/executive IT management. Composes and maintains network documentation, such as topology diagrams, circuit/equipment inventories and configuration reports
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT-Networking related degree from an accredited college or university; supplemented by six (6) to eight (8) years of experience in network system administration, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (up to 20 pounds).
