Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Baton Certified in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned government-related locations. In this armed role, you will conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and maintain a strong presence while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $31.83 / Hour

Tue02:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Thur05:00 AM - 03:00 PM
Sat02:00 PM - 02:00 AM

What You'll Do:

    Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a government location, providing customer service to all staff and visitors.
  • Respond in a calm and problem-solving manner to incidents and critical situations as they arise.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including both interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious activities and report security-related incidents according to established protocols.
  • Assist during emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal or site management.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with the public, employees, and local law enforcement as needed.
  • Maintain a visible and professional presence in all assigned patrol areas.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
