DESCRIPTION
Under supervision of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Manager, the RDN (dietitian) collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide medical nutrition therapy to adult and geriatric patients. Assesses nutrition needs and identifies nutrient requirements with regard to age and disease-specific needs of patients. Develops, implements, and records in EHR the nutrition care plan for all assigned patients. Fosters continuity of care among all phases across the continuum of care. Continuously evaluates and monitors the effectiveness and outcomes of Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) intervention. Conducts assessments and delivers nutrition education for patients participating in UCSD Wellness Program. Conducts assessments and provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation patients, and may also participate in, or lead cooking school activities. Maintains the cleanliness of teaching kitchen and temperature logs. Participates in department's special projects, performance improvement activities, and research. Provides nutrition lectures to patients. Provides in-services to cardiac rehabilitation multidisciplinary team members, nutrition and medical staff as assigned. Collaborates with the nutrition department and mentors dietetic interns/students. Actively assesses, evaluates, and maintains professional development and competency related to assigned units. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $100,934 - $100,934 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $48.34 - $48.34 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
