As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Laguna Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor entrances, check badges, and conduct regular patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do: Responsibilities: - Monitor and manage access control points within the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activity.
- Verify identification and credentials of individuals seeking access to restricted areas within the property.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site-specific procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to observe for any security-related concerns or suspicious activity.
- Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or property damage according to site-specific and Allied Universal procedures.
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by addressing security-related inquiries and assisting with site-specific policies and procedures.
- Assist in emergency response activities as required, collaborating with local authorities and Allied Universal management.
- Maintain a visible security-related presence to help to deter inappropriate activity and promote a secure environment for all occupants.

Minimum Requirements: - Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have experience with access control and/or badge systems preferred.
- Be comfortable working at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
