Role and Responsibilities

In the Field Service Engineer position, you perform essential tasks that keep advanced equipment running smoothly. You work on-site to support customers and ensure their success. As a Field Service Engineer, you will:

  • Install and maintain cutting-edge lithography systems at customer sites
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and accurately
  • Provide hands-on support for equipment upgrades and modifications
  • Document service activities and communicate findings clearly
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance
  • Knowledge build-up and transfer - maintain and broaden own knowledge, shares best known methods within the work group.
  • Train customer personnel on safe and effective equipment use
  • Coaching - provide appropriate support and assistance to less experienced engineers on first tasks.
  • Comply with safety protocols and quality standards every day
  • For our location in Burlington we are looking for an FSE who can support ASML DUV systems as well as ASML PAS5500 systems independently.

Education and Experience

To become a Field Service Engineer at ASML, you need a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, skills and experience will be considered. You should have at least two years of experience working with complex machinery or semiconductor equipment. A minimum of four or more years' experience as a field engineer and/or semiconductor industry experience, is preferred. Experience with diagnostic tools and technical documentation is essential. Familiarity with customer-facing roles in industrial or high-tech settings is valued.

Other Information

As a Field Service Engineer at ASML in Burlington, you often work on-site at customer locations. You may lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. You travel up to 25% of the time, including occasional overnight stays. Shift work may be required to support customer schedules, and are typically 12hour shifts. Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays. Work is conducted at a customer site and requires familiarization with customer rules and policies regarding worksite behavior and safety.You follow all site safety requirements and company policies.
