As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer, where you will help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible, and responding to incidents as needed. This is an armed post, requiring the use of your training and experience to manage situations professionally. You will also interact with the public, providing outstanding customer service and communication while upholding Allied Universal's values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

    Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification to help to control entry to restricted areas.
  • Report and document any suspicious activities, security-related breaches, or incidents according to company and client guidelines.
  • Maintain a visible presence while carrying a firearm as authorized and required by the post profile, adhering to all applicable laws and Allied Universal policies.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when required to support incident response efforts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Must have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, or baton is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
