Description
The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive strategies, campaigns, and programs that drive exhibitor engagement, generate high-quality leads, and nurture prospects through the sales funnel. This role is focused on accelerating pipeline growth and revenue by delivering targeted, data-driven marketing initiatives that support exhibitor acquisition, retention, and upsell. Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing, this leader will oversee all aspects of demand generation for the exhibitor segment, including campaign strategy, lead management, marketing automation, and performance analytics. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multi-channel demand generation strategies tailored to exhibitor audiences.
- Create integrated campaigns across email, digital, paid media, and events to drive lead generation and conversion.
- Align campaign goals with sales and revenue objectives, collaborating closely with sales, product, and event teams.
- Manage exhibitor and prospect lists within Salesforce, ensuring accurate segmentation and targeting.
- Build and optimize lead nurturing workflows using Marketo.
- Monitor funnel performance and conversion metrics to identify and act on opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee campaign planning, creative development, and deployment.
- Continuously test and refine messaging, channels, and tactics to improve engagement and ROI.
- Ensure consistent brand voice and messaging across all touchpoints.
- Define KPIs and build dashboards to measure campaign effectiveness, lead quality, and pipeline contribution.
- Analyze performance data to inform strategy and optimize future campaigns.
- Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals focused on demand generation and campaign execution.
- Foster collaboration across marketing, sales, IT, and exhibitor success teams to ensure alignment and operational efficiency.
- Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications The position requires a person who is very organized and great with prioritizing, organizing and planning in order to see each job through completion and able to meet given deadlines.
- 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with a strong focus on demand generation.
- 3+ years in exhibitions, events, or related industries.
- 2+ years of team management experience.
- Proven success in driving revenue through targeted marketing campaigns.
- Expertise in Salesforce list management and CRM workflows.
- Proficiency in Marketo.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with campaign reporting and data visualization.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
