Position Summary

Collaborate across Pregis' organization to maximize value while protecting the environment. This role will advance and operationalize our 2030 and 2040 goals including net zero carbon emissions, zero waste, and 100% sustainable product sales.


This position reports into the Chief Sustainability Officer.


Responsibilities

  • Track and report sustainable product sales via Tableau dashboards with a vision towards incorporating AI wherever possible to automate Pregis' reporting processes
  • Collect and analyze zero waste and emissions data in collaboration with operations
  • Lead emissions verification and support net zero roadmap development
  • Conduct lifecycle analyses (LCA) to support product claims and customer requests
  • Manage relationships with third-party software providers (Emitwise, Compass)
  • Monitor and respond to US and EU sustainability regulations (EPR, SB 343, SB 261/253, EU Deforestation, Green Claims Directive)
  • Develop and maintain reporting platforms and ensure compliance with labeling and disclosure requirements
  • Project manage the annual Sustainability Report
  • Complete ESG assessments (CDP, EcoVadis, Walmart Project Gigaton)
  • Support the Chief Sustainability Officer with reporting and monthly content to be used in monthly leadership sessions and quarterly board and State-of-the Company meetings
  • Support Pregis marketing and sales with sustainability content and training
  • Review media for compliance with green claims principles
  • Deliver internal and external sustainability training (Advanced Recycling, EPR, IQ Edge)
  • Act as a resource for sustainability-related media and communications
  • Attend conferences and webinars (SPC Impact, Pack Expo, Ameripen)
  • Maintain relationships with distributor sustainability contacts
  • Submit applications for sustainability awards (SPC Innovator, World Sustainability Awards)



The Candidate

This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a passion for sustainability. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working cross-functionally and managing multiple projects simultaneously. They must be able to communicate complex data clearly and support Pregis' sustainability goals with sound judgment and execution.


Education

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.


Experience

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sustainability, ESG reporting, or environmental data analysis. Experience with lifecycle analysis, carbon accounting, and regulatory compliance preferred. Familiarity with sustainability platforms (Emitwise, Compass, Watershed, Tableau) is a plus.

Detail-oriented, collaborative, and proactive. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and cross-functionally. Passionate about sustainability and continuous learning.


Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis' total compensation package. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $75,000 to $85,000.
