Job Summary
Digital Banking Squad Business Analyst will contribute to the maintenance and advancement of KeyBank's Online and Mobile Banking Products, expanding and improving banking capabilities for our customers by collaborating and working inside and across Digital Squads under the Agile methodologies of a fast paced environment.

Essential Functions

  • First and foremost, this candidate demonstrates excellent communication skills with a proactive approach to problem / requirement definition leading to solid users stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Understands banking products and their customer relationships at the retail and small business levels and can communicate within and across teams to drive out requirements leading to successful outcomes
  • Provide Business Analysis and Project/Product support for the development, enhancement, quality assessment, and on-going support of the relevant lines of business (LOBs).
  • Define and influence requirements for new application features and enhancements that are consistent with strategic priorities.
  • Participates in the design process to ensure it supports business requirements and an optimized user experience.
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements and convey with appropriate level of detail to the development team.
  • Build expertise in specific business processes that support business objectives.
  • Support and/or participate in user acceptance testing to ensure quality in application releases and user experience.
  • Escalates requirements/requests to management when significant architectural change or modification to scope should be made transparent
  • Handles multiple engagements/projects at a single time prioritizing work according to the squad's sprint objectives
  • Capture requirements for a moderately complex system and/or multiple systems; understands the SDLC and its impact on deliverables.
  • Broaden expertise of the business and work with technical and business teams to support business objectives.
  • Understands security, risk management, and IT process principles and escalate to appropriate team(s) as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
  • Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (preferred)

Work Experience

  • 1+ years of relevant experience (required)

  • Working knowledge of how to understand and provide insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintains focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.
  • Working knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients; ability to leverage major production application systems in diverse situations.
  • Working knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Working knowledge of the importance of inter-team collaboration in breaking down silos and achieving business results; ability to lead employees from various functions to communicate, coordinate work across divisions, and collaborate in solving problems as one team.
  • Working knowledge of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Working knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
  • Working knowledge of the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Working knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Working knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
  • Working knowledge of the activities, tasks, deliverables and techniques for documenting current business processes; ability to identify problems, opportunities, and re-engineering processes for improvement.
  • Basic understanding of business data analysis; ability to collect, identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements.
  • Working knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision.
  • Working knowledge of major tasks, deliverables, and formal application delivery methodologies; ability to utilize these in order to deliver new or enhanced applications.

  • General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $71,000.00 - $122,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
