Box Truck Driver - FT - N. Charleston

Summary
Responsible for the pick-up and delivery of donated items from households (tickets), attended donation
centers (ADC), and retail stores.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Operate truck in safe manner abiding by all applicable State and local transportation rules and
regulations.
* Perform daily pre-trip inspections on vehicle prior to starting route. Maintain daily log of scheduled
stops.
* Maintain constant communication with Dispatcher via telephone.
* Load and unload vehicle in manner to safeguard donated items from breakage.
* Keep vehicle clean inside and out.
* Haul trash and scrap metal as authorized.
* Return salvage to centralized warehouse.
* Perform daily post-trip inspections on vehicle and notify the Transportation Manager of any concerns.
* Ensure that first aid kit and fire extinguisher are maintained, (i.e. order supplies, check inspection date
on fire extinguisher).
