Manager, OnBase

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Manager of OnBase to join our team! This position will be responsible for managing a team within the Information Technology team to ensure the OnBase platform runs efficiently and continues to improve processes. They will provide guidance and coaching to team members for delivery of quality service and support for internal and external customers, and ensure that maximum value is attained from systems and/or applications.

As part of this role you will:

• Provide strategic direction, day-to-day leadership, and ongoing development for team members.
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, mentoring, performance evaluation, and corrective action as needed.
• Provide mentorship and subject matter expertise to team members on technical and project-related matters.
• Oversee and track unit performance against defined metrics and address issues and deficiencies; suggest areas of improvement and automation.
• Oversee the maintenance, integrity and functionality of assigned applications and systems, ensuring they operate as intended.
• Design and implement opportunities for automation within systems and applications.
• Maintain and enhance operational procedure by regularly updating documentation to reflect evolving standards, processes, and system changes.
• Complete required periodic attestations, control and performance procedures as necessary.
• Contribute to the planning, coordination, and execution of system and application-related projects.
• Maintain disaster recovery plans and models to ensure business continuity.
• When necessary, provide backup assistance for system and/or application services staff within the department.

To be successful in this position, we require the following:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (HSE/GED)
• Over three (3) years of business or technology management related experience.
• Over three (3) years of OnBase related experience.
• OnBase Certified Workflow Administrator (OCWA) or OnBase Certified System Administrator (OCSA)

The following would be a plus:

• Bachelors or other advanced degree.
• IT/PM certifications.
• Leadership certifications.
• Prior experience in related role at a financial institution.
• Lead or participated in merger/acquisition integration activities.
