Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is seeking an experienced real estate finance attorney for engagement through the firm's alternative-track contract attorney and staffing program, DWTSurge. The selected contract attorney will work with the Real Property practice group handling lender-side financing
matters. The selected attorney must hold active bar admission in their state of residence and in a state where DWT maintains an office. While attorneys may work remotely, attorneys must support Pacific Time Zone business hours.
The selected attorney will assist with commercial real estate financing, supporting lenders with various transactions, including affordable housing finance deals and projects involving low-income housing tax credits. Experience with varying types of agreements and documents, including standard origination closings, loan modifications, and subordinate loans, is preferred. Additionally, candidates should have experience working with third parties, such as investors, subordinate lenders, and title/escrow companies. The selected resource will work directly with DWT partners, client teams, and other stakeholders in support of the Firm's clients. Attorneys should be highly organized and will be required to regularly manage multiple matters with competing deadlines. Attorneys should be able to work independently, be highly responsive, and exercise good judgement.
Please note that this is a temporary contract position is managed by DWT's flexible attorney program, DWTSurge. Compensation will be paid on an hourly basis, commensurate with experience and skill level (see below). This role is not eligible for benefits. Due to the structure of the DWTSurge program, DWTSurge employees are not eligible for the firm's pro bono, DEI, and other activities or opportunities outside of the above stated scope of work. The hourly range for this position in CA, MD, MN, NY, OR, WA, and WDC is $115 to $145 per hour. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Additional benefits include:
