We support Stellantis in complying with various regulations and global stakes linked to the raw material composition of vehicles. In this context, Stellantis collects material information from suppliers and utilizes this information for various purposes and customers, including SRM, PDT, Finance, Circular Economy and others.

The position of Materials Traceability Technical Leader is linked to the SRM/SEED/PTDM team, which works on Processes, Tools, Data Management and Raw Material Traceability. The Material Traceability Technical Leader is responsible for overseeing raw material traceability activities across Stellantis' vehicle platforms. This includes managing material data collection, analysis, and reporting to support regulatory compliance, sustainability goals, and internal stakeholders. The role interfaces with global teams, suppliers, and engineering functions to ensure robust and accurate material traceability throughout the vehicle lifecycle.

Responsibilities in:

The Materials Traceability Technical leader is responsible for the following activities:



  • Material Data Management & Analysis



    • Monitor and ensure complete material data collection at vehicle/subsystem level using BOM and model year configurations



  • Monitoring Material Data Sheet (MDS) coverage KPI to ensure 100% data collection across North American vehicle platforms



    • Validate and analyze MDS submissions for completeness and accuracy
    • Calculate and evaluate Mass and Material Balance (MMB) for regulatory, homologation, and sustainability purposes



  • Team Leadership & Coordination



    • Manage external teams supporting North America traceability activities
    • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with project timelines
    • Train team members on methodologies and IT tools used in traceability workflows



  • Supplier & Stakeholder Engagement



    • Lead communication with Tier-1 suppliers regarding IMDS and material traceability requirements
    • Provide training and support to suppliers and internal teams on data submission and validation processes
    • Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and sustainability teams to resolve data gaps and ensure compliance



  • Process & Tool Development



    • Support the evolution of traceability-related processes and IT tools
    • Identify bugs, propose improvements, and assist in testing new functionalities
    • Contribute to global harmonization efforts and best practice sharing across regions


Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with a specialization in Materials, Mechanics, or Environment
  • 5+ years' of automotive experience
  • Knowledge of the vehicle architecture
  • Knowledge of the Stellantis Product Development Process (PDP)
  • Strong understanding of automotive materials and supply chain
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership and project management skills


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Familiarity with global regulations (REACH, ELV, recyclability, bio-sourced content).
  • Proficiency in IMDS, BOM systems, and Stellantis-specific IT tools
  • Experience in material compliance or traceability within the automotive industry or manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge about raw material related regulations and sustainability topics
  • Experience with data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI)
  • Confidence in reporting on deliverables and interacting with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global, cross-functional team
