About the Position

The Senior Paralegal provides advanced legal and administrative support to Walton Enterprises attorneys and the broader Legal Team. This role includes drafting and managing complex legal documents, conducting research and analysis, monitoring regulatory developments, and assisting in the design of legal processes and systems. The position requires strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate with internal clients, external counsel, and cross-functional teams. The Senior Paralegal ensures compliance with all applicable laws and organizational policies, maintains confidentiality at all times, and contributes to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Legal Team.

What you will do

In this role, you will provide advanced support to attorneys and internal clients by managing legal documents, conducting research and analysis, and assisting in the preparation of contracts, agreements, and correspondence. You will be responsible for handling operational tasks such as legal project management, database and records maintenance, and the coordination of legal trainings and presentations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external advisors, stay current on changes in laws and regulations, and provide timely updates to attorneys and stakeholders. You will also ensure the secure organization of corporate records and documents, support governance and compliance matters, and contribute to process improvements that strengthen the Legal Team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage legal documents and corporate records.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Draft, review, and prepare contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Monitor changes in the legal framework and provide timely updates.
  • Support legal projects through planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with legal procedures and regulations.
  • Coordinate legal presentations and trainings.
  • Manage and maintain legal databases and systems.
  • Prepare and review legal correspondence and communications.
  • Provide advanced day-to-day support that enables attorneys and internal clients to focus on high-priority matters.

Qualifications required for your success

  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Additional Helpful Experience Includes

  • Experience supporting governance and compliance processes.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit law or philanthropic structures.
  • Experience designing and managing legal systems or databases.
  • Project management expertise with ability to coordinate complex legal tasks.
  • Experience collaborating with external counsel and advisors.

Benefits Information

Compensation Range: $88,000 - $110,000

Benefits Information: We offer a comprehensive and generous benefits package which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off.

The Walton Enterprises legal team provides legal advice to the Walton family and its interests in several areas. These areas include estate planning, compliance, investment activity, asset acquisition, and charitable efforts. In addition to the family, the legal team also advises the Walton Family Foundation, each family member's individual foundations, and each family member's for-profit entities.
