Acara Solutions has a direct placement opportunity as a Field Installation Technician for our global industrial equipment client. This position requires weekly travel (East coast U.S.), and candidates should expect to be out of town usually Monday-Thursday. All expenses covered by the company.

Here's what you'd do:

  • Execute the installation of machines throughout the United States. Responsibilities to include unloading, spotting, mechanical reassembly, network connection and communication verification and final checkout of equipment.
  • Coordinate installation activities with the Program Manager, End Customer, and team.
  • Provide onsite demonstration to machine users and end user personnel.
  • Perform onsite mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting.
  • Perform basic controls troubleshooting and program updates.
  • Perform comprehensive post install inspection of the equipment and complete a formal engineering signoff document.
  • Prepare service reports for all work done in the field and submit to engineering.
  • Prepare and submit expense reports for expenses accumulated while in the field.
  • Make travel arrangements and manage an efficient travel schedule.

  • Pay: $25-$27/hour plus regular overtime to include all travel time

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mechanical based field installation or service role
  • Basic understanding of computer operating systems, networking, connectivity, and troubleshooting.
  • HS Diploma or GED

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

  • Higher education degree in a technical field
  • Experience in a travel-based role
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Identify work process problems and possible solutions
Physical Demands:
Stand for prolonged periods of time on concrete floor. Will be required to kneel, squat, stoop, recline, climb, crawl, and/or bend on an as needed basis. Must be able to adjust visual focus. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, over 50 lbs with assistance of a lifting device.
