In the role of the Water/Wastewater Project Manager, we'll count on you to:

  • Manage all concept and design aspects of small to medium multi-discipline planning and design projects or large, routine projects, and serve as design manager on large, complex multi-discipline planning and design projects.

  • Coordinate the work of engineers and balance team planning throughout the project's development.

  • Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.

  • Participate in reviews with various regulatory agencies to ensure code compliance.

  • Conduct work sessions for design development and contract documents in conjunction with other staff

  • Coordinate workload throughout the entire project development, and ensure completion of documents on schedule

  • Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with the team to ensure that work is completed within the parameters of the agreed-upon scope, schedule, and budget

  • Work with the Business/Accounting Manager and/or Project Coordinators for project reviews and with company management as needed.

  • Work with internal and external resources to put together contract drawings and documents in accordance with HDR's quality standards

  • Manage construction phase services such as submittal, shop drawing, and RFI review, coordination, and correspondence

  • Manage technical components of pursuits and work with the marketing team to produce high-quality pursuit documents

  • Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 7 years related experience
  • A minimum 2 years project management experience
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
  • MS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience would be plus)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
