POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of a staff pharmacist, and/or the investigational drug services pharmacy manager, follows established policies and procedures to perform a variety of technical and clerical support tasks that are integral to the operation of the investigational drug services program of the pharmacy department. Supports and assists the staff pharmacists in the ethical practice of pharmacy by processing orders and ensuring delivery to patients in a timely manner. EXPERIENCE:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Requires excellent interpersonal skills, telephone communications skills and pharmaceutical calculation skills. Must be able perform at a high level in all aspects of outpatient pharmacy operations and must maintain competency in all areas of outpatient pharmacy. Must have a keen attention to detail. Requirements for Inpatient: Must be able to compound sterile products which may include Pediatric IV, Chemo IV and must maintain competency in all areas of inpatient pharmacy. Technicians will be required to complete the following prior to working in the IV room:
Compensation Range: $24.28- $35.10This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
