Responsibilities

SUMMARY

Protects organization's assets by investigating financial status of customers and potential customers; approving credit and supervision of employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Create a credit risk management environment of an acceptable quality, in terms of established guidelines.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining sound, acceptable credit policies and procedures.
  • Establish credit limits for new accounts and establish a procedure for annual review of current accounts. Check for credit viability on requests for extended terms and evaluate various adjustments or exception documents.
  • Develop processes and procedures for evaluating customer financials and setting credit lines/limits, credit holds, customer credits and adjustments; implement liens as necessary.
  • Monitor receivables, monitor violations of credit, provide analysis, conclusion and recommendations, present findings to CFO and suggest actions to be taken when appropriate.
  • Ensure accounts and transactions are reconciled timely and accurately.
  • Monitor receivables and collections and provide timely updates of receivables and provide appropriate reporting.
  • Manage Daily Hold Orders and Over Limit and Past Due customers.
  • Manage operations through subordinate staff; directly responsible for the work activities of assigned team.
  • Responsible for collecting accounts receivable and minimizing bad debt while maximizing internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Interact with customers to determine reason for payment delinquency and obtain payment commitment by placing outbound calls or some other form of electronic communications. Situations may require extensive research according to customer response.
  • Develop a strong, balanced working relationship with sales teams.
  • Develop, modify and execute company policies that effect immediate operations.
  • Makes decision related to primary accountability of achieving operational goals.
  • And other duties as requested by Chief Financial Officer.

SAFETY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to, promote, and accept responsibility for compliance to Federal and Local Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, Industry Consensus Standards, and KGPCo Injury and Illness Prevention Program Manual.
  • Participate in job site safety and hazard analysis.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college or university; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Microsoft Office products required and experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (formerly Navision) preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to read and understand basic instructions, short communications, and memos; draft simple written correspondence; and effectively communicate in one-on-one or small group settings with customers, clients, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. Capable of performing calculations involving American currency and standard units of weight, volume, and distance.
  • The ability to follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
