Maintenance Technician

Staffmark is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Baker, LA. In this role, you will install, maintain, and repair machinery, vehicles, electrical systems, and facility structures, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Pay Rate: $35 - $45/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Inspect and test machinery and equipment per manufacturer specs; dismantle and replace defective parts
• Perform maintenance and repairs in plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, electrical work, fabrication, welding, and vehicle servicing
• Clean and lubricate mechanical parts like shafts, bearings, and gears
• Install and repair electrical components such as transformers and wiring
• Maintain the physical structure of the facility
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to meet production demands
• Develop critical parts and approved vendor lists
• Collaborate with department supervisors to implement best maintenance practices
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance with contractors and vendors

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
• Minimum 2 years warehouse maintenance experience; 5+ years preferred
• 3+ years electrical repair experience
• Strong work ethic and self-motivated
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
• Basic computer proficiency
• Ability to measure accurately using various tools
• High integrity and positive team player attitude
