Join Our Team as a National Account Manager, Handheld at Epiroc!

The National Account Manager, Handheld manages Epiroc's strategic handheld tools business with Class I Railroads, Military customers, and other key national accounts. The role oversees account strategies, executive-level relationships, and commercial agreements to ensure customer needs are met while driving growth and alignment with Epiroc's handheld portfolio.

This position is responsible for expanding handheld sales, strengthening national partnerships, and driving key strategic initiatives that grow the handheld business. Success in the role requires strong relationship management, negotiation skills, and strategic execution to deliver measurable results while ensuring seamless collaboration with District Managers, Marketing, Product Management, and Aftermarket teams.

Responsibilities:

Account Management & Business Development



  • Develop and execute strategic plans for Class I Railroad, Military, and other national handheld accounts.
  • Build account-specific growth plans, conduct regular performance reviews with customers, and develop long-term partnerships that deepen Epiroc's presence in rail, military, and national account segments.
  • Identify growth opportunities and expand Epiroc's footprint across both core handheld products and aftermarket solutions.
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for senior decision-makers and influencers within accounts.
  • Act as a trusted partner to national accounts, cultivating customer confidence and ensuring a best-in-class experience at every stage of the relationship.



Sales & Revenue Growth



  • Meet or exceed annual handheld sales targets by driving national account initiatives.
  • Accelerate growth across both handheld core products and aftermarket offerings, increasing aftermarket share year-over-year.
  • Influence corporate procurement and contract decisions in alignment with Epiroc's strategic objectives.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with customers to assess performance, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks.
  • Support Epiroc's broader handheld revenue growth goals by executing account strategies that contribute directly to segment success.



Collaboration & Cross-Functional Engagement



  • Partner with District Managers to ensure strong local execution of national programs.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product Management, and Aftermarket teams to deliver tailored handheld solutions.
  • Collaborate with Accounting to ensure accurate order fulfillment, invoicing, and resolution of past-due accounts as part of ongoing business performance objectives.
  • Provide customer insights and feedback to internal teams to support product development and continuous improvement.
  • Support training and enablement initiatives to strengthen handheld knowledge and positioning in the field.



Market & Competitive Analysis



  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments in the handheld tools space.
  • Deliver regular competitive insights and market intelligence to inform handheld strategy and strengthen Epiroc's positioning with national accounts.



Reporting & Forecasting



  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipelines, and CRM activity for all national handheld accounts.
  • Ensure disciplined use of CRM and other sales enablement tools to improve pipeline visibility, forecast accuracy, and commercial accountability.
  • Provide regular updates on account status, opportunities, and risks to the Sales Manager, Handheld.



The salary for this position is between $110,000 and $140,000 annually plus an annual bonus, depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects our commitment to fair pay based on skills, experience, and market standards.

Knowledge/Education:



  • Minimum 7 years of progressive sales or account management experience in industrial tools, handheld equipment, or related industries.
  • Proven success managing national or strategic accounts with executive-level engagement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively (50%+), primarily within the U.S. and Canada; proximity to a major airport is preferred.



Skills and Abilities:



  • Ability to obtain and maintain certification through the eRailSafe program.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across sales, marketing, product, and service functions.
  • Self-motivated with a strategic mindset and strong business acumen.



Work Environment:

This is a remote, field-based position that requires frequent travel across the U.S. and Canada. Customer visits may include rail depots, military bases, and industrial sites, as well as attendance at industry events and trade shows. These environments may involve exposure to outdoor conditions, industrial equipment, and operating machinery. Compliance with safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
