Position Summary

Trideum is seeking a missile defense professional to join our team in Huntsville, AL to support a range of defense and space programs by providing mission context and system-level knowledge that enhances the development and delivery of technical solutions. This position plays a critical role in ensuring software, data science, and analytics projects are aligned with real-world mission objectives and system behaviors.

This is a flexible, cross-project role in which the selected candidate will contribute to various efforts as needed, offering domain-informed insights that support meaningful analysis and effective tool development. The ideal candidates will have direct experience supporting missile defense systems or similar platforms-such as integrated air and missile defense, fire control systems, radar and sensor integration, or command and control systems, and be comfortable collaborating with engineering and analytical teams to guide technical work with mission relevance.

What You'll Do



  • Provide Mission Understanding: Support teams by offering deep knowledge of missile defense systems, components, operations, and relevant test and evaluation considerations.
  • Support Cross-Functional Teams: Contribute to projects involving data analysis, AI/ML development, simulation, or software engineering by offering system context and operational relevance.
  • Enable Data Relevance and Interpretation: Assist in identifying critical data elements, ensuring datasets are used appropriately, and helping teams understand what the data represents within a missile defense context.
  • Float Across Projects: Serve as a flexible resource assigned to various teams and programs based on project priorities, providing continuity and alignment with mission goals.
  • Bridge Mission and Technology: Translate operational needs into actionable insights for technical teams and assist in interpreting outputs from models or analysis in the context of missile defense use cases.
  • Participate in Solution Development: Collaborate in the development, validation, and refinement of tools and solutions to ensure mission alignment and practical applicability.
  • Travel Requirements: Engage in minimum travel for purposes like onboarding, corporate training, and other essential corporate activities.


Requirements and Qualifications:



  • Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school in a quantitative discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years supporting missile defense or related systems, such as integrated air and missile defense platforms, fire control, sensor fusion, or command and control environments.
  • Missile Defense Knowledge: Familiarity with system architectures, operational employment, sensor networks, interceptor capabilities, and engagement coordination processes.
  • Government/Defense Background: Demonstrated experience working with or supporting U.S. Department of Defense programs, including military, government civilian, or contractor roles.
  • Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication abilities are required to effectively discuss technical concepts with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Adaptability: A strong desire to learn, experiment with new technologies, and continuously stretch existing skills.
  • Security and Citizenship: Must be a US citizen and possess an active Secret security clearance, with the eligibility to obtain a Top Secret clearance.


Desired Qualifications:



  • Experience: Exposure to or hands-on experience with software development, data analysis, data science workflows, or test and evaluation tools.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with Electronic Warfare (EW) / non-kinetic energy (NKE) weapon systems is a plus.
  • Analytical: Ability to interpret system performance metrics, test results, and mission analysis products in operational terms.
