JOB SUMMARY


  • Provide overall administrative support to Human Resources.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • A bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field, or a combination of education and experience in human resources, at a level normally acquired through completion of a four-year degree in human resource or a related field.
  • Two+ years of experience in a human resources administrative role.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Previous experience in the construction industry is preferred.
  • Experience working with Labor Unions and employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements is preferred.
  • Experience working in UKG (UltiPro) is preferred.
  • HR Certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.) is preferred.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.

  • Must exercise initiative, judgment, and confidence as well as exhibit a strong desire to acquire knowledge of company practices, policies and procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide overall administrative support to Human Resources.
    • Assist with the recruitment process by attending career fairs, reviewing and updating job descriptions, posting jobs, reviewing and tracking applications, scheduling interviews, and closing out requisitions.
    • Assist with pre-employment qualifications such as background and drug screens.
    • Lead the onboarding process, including but not limited to entering new hire data into onboarding and HRIS systems, conducting orientation and training, processing new hire paperwork (I-9/E-Verify), and coordinating with hiring managers and other departments to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
    • Ensure personnel files and records are accurate and maintained in the HRIS system, in accordance with legal requirements and company policies and procedures.
    • Complete requests for verification of employment and unemployment inquiries.
    • Assist in the administration, communication, and interpretation of policies that relate to the HR function.
    • Support benefit administration by assisting with open enrollment activities and answering employees' benefit questions.
    • Assist with the FMLA process including, but not limited to, providing request forms, tracking, and administration.
    • Communicate with HR leadership regularly, keeping them informed of activities and concerns.
    • Assist with monitoring compliance course completion and providing follow-up as needed.
    • Assist with compiling employee data for corporate, legal, and regulatory reporting including, but not limited to, Affirmative Action/Non-Discrimination, EEO-1, EEO Surveys, and VETs 100 reports.
    • Assist with resolution of employee questions and concerns courteously and promptly, escalating as needed.
    • Support event coordination for HR-related events (HR Training, etc.).
    • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion regarding employee and company information
    • Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION


    • Required to maintain a valid driver's license.

    • Limited travel may be required (up to 10%).
