Description Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Security Analyst to join our team in Madison, WI on a 6-month contract basis. There is a chance for an extension and/or conversion, but not guaranteed (all based on budget for 2026). This role is focused on firewalls (Cisco shop - ASA and Firepower) with a background in security (SIEM, endpoint, vulnerability management, phishing/email, and some GRC. This role will focus on operational security tasks, monitoring, and management of enterprise security tools to ensure a secure, compliant, and resilient IT environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with a wide range of security platforms, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to threat detection and incident response. Key Responsibilities: Monitor, manage, and optimize the performance of security tools including: oCisco Secure Endpoint oEndpoint Privilege Manager oMicrosoft Defender for Endpoint oNetskope oProofpoint Endpoint DLP oProofpoint Email DLP oCisco Vulnerability Management oQualys Vulnerability Management oCisco AnyConnect VPN oCisco Umbrella Perform daily security monitoring, analysis, and reporting. Assist in vulnerability scanning, analysis, and remediation efforts. Manage alerts, investigate suspicious activities, and escalate incidents as needed. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of security processes and findings. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security configurations align with best practices. Assist in security awareness and compliance initiatives as directed. Required Qualifications: 3+ years of IT Security or Cybersecurity experience. Hands-on experience with the listed security tools. Strong understanding of endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and DLP strategies. Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001). Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Experience in enterprise or large-scale IT environments. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $70.00/hr.
