Advanced Assembly, Inc. (AAI), located in University Research Park on Madison's west side, is seeking a skilled Quality Manager to lead and enhance our quality systems. AAI is an electronics manufacturing services provider known for producing high-quality electronic assemblies and products, including the Captioned Telephone (CapTel). This is a full-time, first-shift role (Monday - Friday) offering:

Position Summary

The Quality Manager is responsible for building, operating, and scaling AAI's quality infrastructure and shaping the company's quality culture. This role oversees the Quality Management System (QMS), drives compliance across all products, and ensures readiness for ISO audits and re-certifications. You will serve as the quality representative during the New Product Introduction (NPI) process and collaborate with customers to implement effective quality plans for production.

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead and evolve quality initiatives across manufactured products.
  • Manage internal, customer, and ISO 9001/2015 audits.
  • Serve as liaison for customer and supplier quality issues.
  • Maintain document control, CAPA, change control, and training programs.
  • Author SOPs, policies, and quality plans to support production workflows.
  • Conduct internal gap analyses and prepare for ISO certification.
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement using data-driven decisions.
  • Lead and develop Quality Assurance and Document Control team members.
  • Provide guidance to leadership on quality risks and compliance strategies.
  • Up to 15% travel for customer and supplier visits.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, or Management (or Associate's + equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven success implementing ISO 9001/13485 quality systems.
  • Familiarity with quality tools (Root Cause Analysis, 8D, DOE, FMEA, Six Sigma).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • ASQ certifications (CMQ/OE, CQE, CQA, CSSBB) a plus.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing a plus.
