As a member of the HR Data & Technology Support team, you will be a trusted resource to the business and the HR Solutions team with a focus on data conversion, data transformation and bridging the space between Workday functional configuration and Workday data. Your depth of experience in EIBs, Data Conversion and Data Transformation is well grounded on functional configuration knowledge of Workday HCM in a variety of modules which could include HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Payroll, Time, Absence, Learning or Talent.

What You Will Do:

  • Function as an experienced resource for system administration, Workday best practices, HR transactions, reporting, mass loading of data (EIBs), data conversion, business process configuration and design, including advising the HR team, managers, and employees in proper use of the system.

  • Work closely with business partners and technical teams to gather and define requirements, recommendations, document changes for change control purposes, design, configure, test, validate and implement data focused/mass load solutions.

  • Develop and execute EIBs, building custom fields and reports to facilitate configuration, validation, testing and mass loads of configuration or data.

  • Support HR keeping consistency in service delivery, driving standardization, and sharing standard methodologies across the organization.

  • Review, test, and implement bi-annual Workday releases including analysis to determine impact, presenting suggested new features as prioritized by business partners.

  • Maintain master data values in Workday (ex: Job Profile, Job Family, Job Group, Roles, Custom Organization Types, Positions, and Locations).

  • Stay abreast of new functionality and implement improvements that support the delivery of HR services.

Who you are:

You have:

  • Related university degree OR equivalent combination of formal education, certification and experience.

  • 4+ years of progressive experience in Workday at an advisor functional level across multiple modules (Recruiting, HCM, Compensation, Learning, etc.). Depth of experience navigating data conversion, transformation and EIBs in Workday is considered an asset. Advanced experience with data tools such as Excel, Power BI and Power Query are considered an asset.

  • Ability to plan and execute changes for small to medium scale projects, including working with technical IT resources in designing, developing, testing, and implementing related solutions.

  • Positive relationship management and consensus building skills through interpersonal, communication and influencing skills with ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Clear analytical and problem-solving skills working with client groups/end users to identify and resolve business needs and applying innovation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to explain technology concepts and issues in a manner that business partners understand.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment.

  • Work in a virtual team environment with frequent interactions with team members located in Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto and Houston.

  • Mental stress levels can be above normal and will vary over the life of the position, dependent upon initiatives being undertaken and issues identified at any given time.

  • Tight deadlines are common.

  • Limited travel (<5%); valid passport is required.

Physical Requirements:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
