The Quality Engineer (QE) is responsible for monitoring and improving the quality of our operational - administrative processes and outputs. The QE should have excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to ensure that processes and products consistently meet established quality standards by identifying shortfalls, developing corrective and preventive measures, and implementing quality control systems.

Quality Engineer Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing standard operational 7 administrative procedures and quality control systems.
  • Support new product & process introductions to ensure the robustness and quality of products and processes.
  • Monitoring and analyzing quality performance of internal and external vendors 7 processes (using tools such: SAP, Excel, & Power BI).
  • Investigate recurring quality issues and implement actions to eliminate future occurrences and ensure improvements effectiveness.
  • Carry out product and process auditing.
  • Supplier management: conduct supplier meetings to monitor activities/tasks progress and status. Produce written reports and make presentations as needed.
  • Investigate and address quality issues: root cause, corrective, and preventative actions. Perform inspections of materials in accordance with drawings and standards during investigations.
  • Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management system (ISO9001). Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Six-Sigma and Poka-Yoke.
  • Data analytics according to Six Sigma standards and affinity to new technologies as AI

Experience

Ability to read and interpret drawings, including GD&T. Experience with measuring equipment and inspection techniques. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, attention to details, organizational skills, strong analytical and problem-solving in fast paced environment. Excellent project management skills. Must be able to effectively work independently and in a team environment. Must be assertive, resilient, and welcome change.

Education

Degree in quality, industrial or mechanical engineering or have 4+ years of suitable combination of education and work experience in similar role. ASQ certification preferred. Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing skills is a must.
