JOB PURPOSE:

The CBP Workforce and Family Readiness Program is seeking an experienced mobile wellness expert whose primary responsibility is to manage the Endeavors Mobile Readiness Unit. This person would facilitate transportation of staff members and service providers, with a particular focus on serving the clients in remote areas. Strong driving skills are a fundamental requirement, and applicants must possess a valid driver's license with a proven track record of safe driving. Working with intake specialists to ensure program eligibility and compliance with program. Ensure all federal, state, and local laws are met to guarantee the safety of both passengers and the general public. Furthermore, the driver will play a crucial role in supporting the program by providing a well-maintained, clean and sanitized transportation vehicle.


Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Develop operating standards for the Mobile Readiness Unit.

* Worked with intake specialists to facilitate and reduce processing time.

* Transport Endeavors staff members from office locations to designated areas throughout the region as assigned by Program Manager.

* Work irregular shifts, irregular days and be available when required to transport the service population to assigned destinations.

* Maintain a calendar that tracks and coordinates program travel needs to ensure they get to assigned destination on schedule.

* Assist in facility operations as needed.

* Maintain accurate and up to date travel logs with shift hours.

* Provide safe, secure, and supervised transportation.

* Use two-way communication radios, cell phones and other equipment as assigned.

* Cooperate with law enforcement authorities in the event an official request, testing for drugs and alcohol.

* Provide consistent and effective communication with supervisor for any transportation concerns or needs including vehicle issues, coordination difficulties and change in travel plans.

* Provide transportation to and from support locations (CBP offices, ports of entry, border patrol stations, etc.)

* Must have the ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. traffic).

* Must be willing to assist staff loading/unloading equipment, office supplies and program support essentials.

* Document all serious incidents, daily progress, changes in operations and activities completely, accurately in a timely manner and in compliance with agency policies and procedures.

* Ensure daily/monthly/annual vehicle maintenance is completed and logged.

* Ensure daily safety checklists are completed and logged prior to taking vehicle off property.

* Report any mechanical issues regarding fleet to leadership.

* Liaise with partners for location and set-up parameters for mobile unit.

* Participate in scheduled meetings, team decisions and operations.

* Take a passenger van safety training program course.

* Other duties as assigned-office intakes, wellness room, back-office duties.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED is required.

EXPERIENCE: 5 years' experience of working with various vulnerable populations. Experience in facilitating transportation within programs. Experience with commercial transportation or fleets is preferred.

ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion.

LICENSES: Driver's License with clear record.

VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.

OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations with such frequency as the business need dictates. Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others.Eligible to receive, pass, and maintain security investigation background check. Must be a U.S. citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident.Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries; Obtain a clearance for a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card;Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality.
