Position Title: Process Engineer
Wage: Based on Experience We're seeking a Process Engineer to join our team in Fredericksburg, Iowa-where community, quality of life, and meaningful work come together. Whether you're a recent graduate or have up to 4-5 years of experience, training and mentorship will be provided. The Process Engineer will provide engineering support for production operations, address technical issues, improve processes, and ensure quality, safety, and efficiency in food and agricultural liquid and powder processing. Process Engineer Responsibilities: - Ensure safe working environment and support risk reduction across health, safety, quality and customer service - Develop and implement process/project engineering plans; present updates to leadership - Lead or support facility engineering projects to meet schedule, budget and quality objectives - Consult with contractors, vendors and suppliers to finalize project specifications - Partner with production staff to develop and train on new processes, equipment and SOPs - Identify process bottlenecks and implement strategies for improvement - Oversee production and development jobs, ensuring alignment with production schedules - Support scale-up of new processes and equipment installations - Serve as a technical and chemical resource for troubleshooting and long-term improvements Requirements for Process Engineer: - Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical engineering preferred) or related field; equivalent experience considered - 1-5+ years of experience in chemical, food or related manufacturing preferred - Knowledge of ISO, GMP or quality processes desirable - Strong analytical, troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills - Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems | |
