Description
Position Overview The Site Director is responsible for the daily oversight of center operations for licensed facilities operated by Next Door. The Site Director ensures the delivery of high-quality comprehensive services for children and families in accordance with Early Head Start/Head Start Performance Standards, NAC, Department of Children and Families licensing regulations, and Milwaukee Public Schools Charter requirements. This includes monitoring compliance of the delivery of comprehensive services, maintaining regulatory compliance for DCF licensing, ensuring the site maintains a NAC rating, and implementation of evidence based practices relative to the Educare Core Features. The Site Director will provide oversight at the center level for education and family services while ensuring staff receives embedded professional development opportunities. Finally, the Site Director provides leadership that fosters continuous quality improvement, data utilization, accountability, and program excellence. Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
- Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance, and support to staff at the site.
- Ensures all staff under the site leaderships completes the onboarding process.
- Ensures all staff earns 25 hours of continuing education annually.
- Collaborates with mental health and disabilities staff to implement Positive Behavior Support and Response to Intervention for children in need of additional services.
- Collaborates with the Director of Educational Services to develop and implement an annual assessment calendar.
- Ensures all assessment are completed on time.
- Collaborates with the Local Evaluation Partner to create, and monitor the implementation of a Research Program Partnership Agreement. (Educare Only)
- Participates in the self-assessment process.
- Conducts CLASS observations and participates in the CLASS observation debrief with the Education Manager, Instructional Coach and the teachers.
- Supports the process for developing and implementing policies and procedures that support service delivery.
- Participates in monthly Parent Committee and Policy Council meetings.
- Collaborates with comprehensive service staff to develop and implement a schedule for dental, vision, and hearing screenings.
- Collaborates with Education Managers to maintain an annual site inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Supports the recruitment, hiring, and performance appraisal process for all position under site leadership.
- Assures efficient use of funds and materials that have been provided for the site.
- Develops and implements monthly site newsletter for staff.
- Collaborates with site team and the Director of Educational Services to complete the NAC process.
- Monitors CCA for the site.
- Ensures the implementation of Milwaukee Public Schools Charter School contract. (For Charter School/Site Director)
- Supports the implementation of the ongoing monitoring plan.
- Collaborates with Program Assistant to develop and distribute a site monthly calendar.
- Monitors in-kind participation at the site.
- Monitors education services to ensure that parents receive two home visits and two parent teacher conferences.
- Collaborates with site team to implement classroom level meetings and learning experiences for parents.
- Attends all required meetings and trainings, including supervisory trainings.
- Actively participates in community organizations to increase awareness of quality early learning and care and to advocate for children and families.
- Facilitates reflective supervision for direct reports on a consistent basis.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Must possess a Bachelor'sDegree in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Education: Exceptional Educational Needs or Child Development.
- At least three years of experience teaching in an early care education setting; experience teaching preschool children means completion of supervised student teaching or experience as a preschool teacher in a licensed program or employment as a public school preschool teacher.
- At least five years of experience in a leadership role with the responsibility of program administration and supervision of other staff.
- Experience working with low-income families.
- Principal Certification (For Charter School/Site Director).
- Registry Level 16 with Master Trainer and Consultant Endorsement.
- Must have a valid Wisconsin's Driver's License, motor vehicle and adequate liability insurance as required by agency policy and state liability regulations.

Physical Demands
- Primarily active work; occasionally lifting, holding or moving up to 50 lbs.
- A biannual physical exam, drug screen and TB test are required as a condition of initial employment and continued employment.
- Must be able to physically interact with children, including bending, kneeling, sitting on the floor, climbing and walking.

Work Environment
- Combination of office and Early Childhood Center setting with some travel between sites occasionally required.
