The Data Validation Analyst performs a variety of data entry, computer reporting, and other activities related to ensure the integrity and accuracy of Inpatient and Outpatient Coding.

Responsibilities
- 1. CHIME/Truven Verification Edits - Data Validation Analysts are ultimately responsible for accurately correcting various coding edits in a timely manner and seek opportunities to be prevent thematic issues.
- 1.1 Verifies and corrects inpatient and outpatient Pre-CHIME and CHIME/Truven errors.
- 2. Premier Verification Edits - Data Validation Analysts are ultimately responsible for accurately correcting various coding edits in a timely manner and seek opportunities to be prevent thematic issues.
- 2.1 Verifies and corrects inpatient and outpatient Premier errors.
- 3. Claim Edits - Data Validation Analysts are ultimately responsible for accurately correcting various coding edits in a timely manner and seek opportunities to be prevent thematic issues.
- 3.1 Corrects, on a daily basis, all assigned claim edits in EPIC.
- 4. Administrative Support (tasks specifically delegated) - Data Validation Analysts may be delegated specific tasks to assist leadership teams with day to day needs.
- 4.1 Outside department encounter form entry and other system data entry.
- 5. Problem Solving and Flexibility - Every employee is expected to be flexible with scheduling and duties as well as present solutions to commonly occurring issues.
- 5.1 Demonstrates critical thinking skills when presented with an issue and develops real time solutions to issues to see cases through to final completion.
- 6. Reporting - Data Validation Analysts may be assigned specific reports to facilitate in an accurate and timely manner.
- 6.1 Provides statistical information to leadership per departmental guidelines.

Qualifications
EDUCATION High school diploma or GED required. EXPERIENCE Two (2) to three (3) years experience in the reporting and analysis of health care data. SPECIAL SKILLS Good understanding and navigation of the current electronic medical record as well as processes associated with Chime, Truven, Premier, etc. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to exercise good judgment, independent logic, light typing, and excellent computer data entry skills. Computer system experience including familiarity with encoder systems.
