Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. Summary:The Director - Analytics and AI will lead the enterprise-wide strategy and execution of data, analytics, and AI/ML initiatives across Trident Seafoods. The person in this role will be responsible for identifying the optimum Analytics and AI tools to harness insights from SAP S4, other non-ERP business applications, and the Azure data lake environment, while also enabling self-service analytics. The Director will collaborate with Trident business users to identify, prioritize, and deliver high-value analytics and AI/ML use cases, setting the foundation for the organization's digital transformation journey.

Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and execute the analytics, AI, and ML roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Champion a data-driven culture across the organization by enabling modern analytics adoption.
  • Partner with senior business leaders and Trident users to identify, prioritize, and deliver impactful Analytics and AI use cases.

Data & Analytics Platform

  • Oversee integration and optimization of SAP and non-SAP application data into strategic business warehouse platform.
  • Build the foundation for AI agents that interact with enterprise data, enabling automation and intelligent decision support.
  • Ensure data governance, security, and compliance across AI and analytics initiatives.

AI / ML Enablement

  • Establish the foundational capabilities for AI/ML, including frameworks, tools, and processes.
  • Drive experimentation and prototyping of AI/ML solutions, turning concepts into scalable solutions.
  • Build partnerships with technology vendors and internal teams to accelerate AI/ML adoption.

Team & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate effectively with consultants and internal teams, providing mentorship and guidance to support Trident's AI and analytics roadmap.
  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into actionable solutions.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration.

This is an exempt position with an annualized salaryrange of $140,000 to $200,000.

Minimum Requirements

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise applications, data, and analytics, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Strong background in ERP landscapes (preferably SAP) and integration with non-SAP systems.
  • Proven experience in Data Warehouse platforms (Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory) and AI agents
  • Demonstrated success in leading AI/ML initiatives from ideation to deployment in production

Preferred Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data engineering, and governance.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one AI platform or tool
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a pragmatic execution mindset.
  • Ability to translate complex data concepts into clear business value

Work Environment

This is an on-site position based at the Trident Support Center office in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

In-office time takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise. While remote, employees must provide appropriate home office space.

Physical/Mental demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time at a desk. Frequently required to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee will occasionally stand, walk, and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near vision for frequent use of a computer.
