Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Performs preventive maintenance, general maintenance and repair, including such things as installation of equipment, work tables, tools or other items.
  • Maintains calibration of measurement and test equipment, including all applicable records.
  • Follows process instructions, Manufacturing Standard Procedures (MSP's) and verbal instructions from the Site Operations Manager.
  • Maintains, records, checklists and log books on maintenance performed and inspections conducted.
  • Maintains tools and test equipment in a serviceable state.
  • Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
  • Fabricates and assembles production fixtures.
  • Fills out supply request forms to order materials necessary to ensure that all production equipment operates in an efficient manner.


ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • May monitor and adjust chemical baths, safely handle storage and disposal of chemicals.
  • May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.


EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED required. Additional post-high school course work or apprenticeship in a technical or mechanical area is preferred. 1 or more years of work experience as a maintenance person in an industrial environment is required.

BASIC SKILLS:



  • Ability to communicate uncomplicated data, instructions, production results, quality issues, and similar subjects both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to distinguish between the colors of red, orange, yellow, blue, green and violet.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment.
  • Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read, write and follow written or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English.
  • High degree of manual dexterity and hand-to-eye coordination.
  • Hands-on familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to calculate basic mathematic functions and formulas. Can calculate ratios, percentages, and fractions.
  • Uses Excel spreadsheets and can write simple formulas and create spreadsheets.
