Job Description

Visa's Internship Program provides an immersive, 12-week journey where you'll work on impactful projects that drive Visa's mission forward. We are looking for a highly motivated and data-driven Sales Operations Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing sales performance metrics, developing strategies for sales targets and initiatives, evaluating priorities based on performance, and making data-driven recommendations. Your insights and strategies will play a crucial role in driving our sales and business growth for Visa Value Added Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Support cross-functional sales and operations teams to validate sales readiness, client success, and product/service improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze sales performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Develop and implement data driven recommendations to achieve sales targets and initiatives.
  • Communicate insights across customer, partner, and revenue data as aligned to strategic business objectives.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity and data to identify trends and articulate business value.
  • Evaluate and prioritize sales activities based on performance data when prioritizing initiatives.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform and influence GTM and Commercialization strategy and decision-making.
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand their needs and provide relevant insights to incorporate into the data as inputs to methodology.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure alignment of sales strategies, results, priorities.
  • Be comfortable working with Senior executives and providing input and recommendations.
  • Conduct industry research to benchmark and deliver positioning recommendations and sales approach.
  • Support in ad hoc analysis and other duties to support the GTM team.

The Role:

  • Sales Performance Analysis: Regularly analyze sales performance metrics such as revenue, sales volume, market share, and profit margins to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges. Provide detailed reports on your findings and propose solutions.
  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement strategies for achieving sales targets and initiatives. This includes identifying potential sales leads, optimizing sales processes, and creating sales forecasts and sales methodology for reporting.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data-driven insights to inform and influence sales strategy and decision-making. This includes interpreting complex sales data and converting it into actionable strategies.
  • Sales Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales leaders to understand their needs and provide them with relevant insights and recommendations. This may involve training sales team members on how to interpret and use sales data, and championing new ways of thinking, measuring, etc.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on sales performance, targets, and initiatives to key stakeholders. This includes creating visualizations and dashboards to illustrate trends, projections, and insights.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams (such as Marketing, Product, and Customer Service) to ensure alignment of sales strategies and initiatives. This includes sharing data, insights and impacts.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree with a graduation date in December 2026-August 2027
  • Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications that demonstrate professional judgment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient Excel and PowerPoint skills required. Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics and Tableau are a plus.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, including comfort with executive messaging.
  • Proven success in cross-functional delivery and growth strategy.
  • Experience working directly with sales leaders, account executives, and/or revenue strategy teams to identify growth challenges and drive commercial outcomes.
Additional Information

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated hourly range for a new hire into this position is $30/hr to $35/hr which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

Work Hours:Varies upon the needs of the department

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Travel Requirements:This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements:This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
