OverviewThe Supply Chain Accounting team partners closely with Corporate Finance, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams supporting a broad business scope of Microsoft devices including Surface and Xbox. The environment is dynamic and innovative, where the accounting team must be flexible and deeply integrated with the business. We are looking for a Director of Supply Chain Accounting to lead the team. This leader will oversee supply chain accounting including inventory reserve process, warranty accounting and standard costing, as well as related compliance activities including SOX. This leader is a manager of people managers, overseeing a team of approximately 12 people leaders who consistently drive impact and foster a culture of excellence across their teams. This role reports to the GM of Corporate Accounting. This is a 3X weekly hybrid work role with the flexibility to work from either our beautiful Redmond or Atlanta office. ResponsibilitiesLead the Supply Chain Accounting team that supports the rhythm of business for monthly and quarterly accounting close processes.Oversee the coordination and preparation, delivery, and analysis of balance sheet and P&L reporting and assist in reviews with senior business leaders.Drive compliance activities, which requires partnership with Internal Audit and Supply Chain Operations teams. Ensure SOX compliance including development of new controls as the business evolves.Support launch and strategic activities in close partnership with the business.Guide the preparation of inventory related financial information for Microsoft's financial statements and disclosures.Steer and Organize quarterly reviews with accounting leadership.Microsoft people managers are expected to make Microsoft employees feel valued and cared for through connections and performance discussions- which is called our Model Coach and Care philosophy.
