Position Overview




Primary Purpose of Position
The Executive Assistant provides confidential, high-level administrative and strategic support to the Department Chair and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the department office. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for departmental faculty, staff, students, and external partners, requiring excellent judgment, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is one of the largest departments in the College of Engineering. The four programs are a BS in electrical engineering, a BS in computer engineering, an MS in electrical engineering, and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering. This position is in the College of Engineering at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, which is a public land grant university that enrolls nearly 11,000 students.
Work Hours Typically8-5 Monday-Friday; however, flexibility in the work schedule can be negotiated.
