The Opportunity

Our Health Services team is looking to add an #EnergyProblemSolver in Calgary, AB, Houston, TX, or Charleston, WV.

What you'll do

  • Provide subject matter expertise for occupational related illness/injury and fitness for work

  • Oversee and support pre-employment medicals, health surveillance activities, substance abuse program (including alcohol & drug testing) and fitness for work assessments utilizing cloud-based tools to identify trends and potential risks

  • Actively manage Third-Party Medical Services Providers across Canada and the US

  • Responsible for the monitoring, governance and continuous improvement of TC Energy's Occupational Health and Fitness for Work Programs

  • Deliver proactive interventions across dispersed worksites in Canada, the US and Mexico

  • Interface with internal/external stakeholders to improve business relationships and effective delivery of our program

  • Contribute to the development of health protection strategies, process improvements, identify internal efficiencies and reporting of our key performance indicators

  • Enhance, implement, and continuously improve health initiatives, leveraging mobile health apps, online learning platforms, and data-driven engagement strategies.

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of technical reports, dashboards, and presentations generated from electronic health management systems

  • Available for rotational on-call response related to alcohol & drug testing.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) designation with active, unrestricted license in relevant jurisdiction

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Occupational Health Nursing certification preferred

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in occupational health, ideally in the oil and gas or industrial sector

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with Occupational Health programs, including DOT legislation and disability management

  • Experience with alcohol and drug testing requirements for employees covered by DOT Testing Regulation (49 CFR Part 40)

  • Advanced proficiency in human capital management platforms such as Workday and electronic medical records systems

  • Skilled in data analytics, dashboard creation, and digital reporting using tools such as Power BI or similar

  • Strong written and verbal skills, able to translate complex health data into actionable insights for various audiences, from frontline workers to senior leadership.

This position requires candidates to:

  • Have current, valid authorization to travel.
