Endpoint Engineer

LinTech Global Inc. is recruiting for an Endpoint Engineer to support our contract at the Defense Health Agency (DHA) DDSB in San Antonio, Texas.

Clearance: Active DoD Secret or higher (T3 minimum)

Certifications: Must meet DoD 8140/8570 IAT-II (Security+ CE or equivalent)

Position Overview

The Senior Endpoint Engineer provides Tier 3 engineering, design, and sustainment support for enterprise endpoint management services under the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Domain and Directory Services Branch (DDSB). This role ensures secure, compliant, and reliable endpoint operations across 400K+ workstations and servers within on-premises and MED365 cloud environments. Responsibilities include platform lifecycle management, endpoint security compliance, image engineering, automation, Microsoft Intune integration, and Zero Trust/ICAM alignment efforts.

Key Responsibilities



  • Engineer, maintain, and optimize endpoint management platforms including Microsoft MECM (Configuration Manager), Intune, Windows Autopilot, and co-management configurations.
  • Design and maintain enterprise OS deployment strategies, including task sequences, WIM image management, WinPE, MDT/WDS, and secure provisioning methods.
  • Create, test, and deploy custom application packages (MSI, EXE, PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit) and manage deployment rings and pilot-to-production workflows.
  • Support Windows 10/11 modernization, in-place upgrades, feature update readiness, and baseline hardening using STIGs/IAVM compliance.
  • Implement and maintain endpoint security configurations including BitLocker, LAPS, Defender AV policies, firewall baselines, and Attack Surface Reduction rules.
  • Develop PowerShell automation and orchestration scripts to reduce operational overhead and improve endpoint compliance and system health.
  • Perform enterprise-level troubleshooting for complex endpoint issues impacting performance, imaging, patching, network dependencies, or cloud connectivity.
  • Manage ADR deployments, software update groups, SUP synchronization issues, and SQL maintenance to ensure patching compliance across the enterprise.
  • Generate compliance reporting and operational dashboards using SQL queries, WQL, and Power BI dashboards to support configuration drift and endpoint readiness reporting.
  • Collaborate across Tier 2 Continuous Operations, Active Directory/PKI, SCCM infrastructure, MECM OSD, and cybersecurity teams to resolve enterprise incidents.
  • Assist in Zero Trust endpoint security implementation and integration with ICAM tools and conditional access policies.
  • Develop and maintain engineering documentation, SOPs, technical guides, and architecture diagrams.


Required Skills & Experience



  • 5-10+ years of enterprise endpoint management experience with MECM and Microsoft Intune
  • Expertise in Windows imaging, task sequencing, and automated deployments
  • Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience
  • Knowledge of Group Policy, Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID
  • Experience with SQL maintenance and MECM site health
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity requirements, including STIG, ACAS, eMASS
  • Strong collaboration skills supporting large enterprise environments


Preferred Experience



  • Experience supporting DHA, DISA, Army/Navy/AF Medical, or DoD enterprise networks
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust principles, endpoint security enhancement, and ICAM
  • Familiarity with MDM/MAM policy management and secure remote provisioning
  • Software deployment using PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT)


Education & Certifications



  • DoD 8140/8570 IAT-II Certified (Security+ CE, CCNA Security, etc.) - Required to Start

    • DoD 8140/8570 IAT-III Certification Required within 90 days of Starting (GCLD, CCE, SecurityX or CEH)


  • Microsoft Certifications (MD-102, SC-300, AZ-104) - Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Engineering - Preferred
