Internship- Software Engineering Summer 2026

ASML US is seeking candidates for a software development internship focused on creating software for lithography machines used in microchip production. The role involves working with software architects and control system engineers to develop and test high-quality software solutions in real-time domains with complex hardware interfaces.

Develop software based on system and control requirements, create test specifications, and deliver high-quality software solutions using languages like C, C++, and Python across different operating systems.

Candidates should have at least two years toward pursuing a BS in Computer Science, Software, Engineering, AI with graduate studies

Prior technical development or leadership experience considered a plus.

The 12-week internship is located at the San Diego campus, requiring adherence to clean room protocols and physical demands such as sitting, walking, and occasional lifting

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Current base annual salary range for this role is currently $17.00 - $57.00. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
