Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Head of Oncology Franchise, the Head of Hematology - Commercial will lead the strategy and execution of Jazz's US Hematology portfolio. This leader will shape the long-term vision for the business, drive commercial success across multiple functions, and ensure Jazz delivers meaningful impact for patients.

As a member of the Oncology Portfolio Cross-Functional Leadership Team, the Head of Hematology will collaborate with counterparts in Solid Tumors and Neuro-Oncology, as well as the Oncology Portfolio Head, to influence strategy, execution, and trade-off decisions across the broader Jazz Oncology portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Drive commercial success

  • Lead all aspects of commercialization for the hematology portfolio with full accountability for performance, market positioning, and lifecycle management.

  • Develop and execute brand strategies, launch readiness, and growth plans to maximize patient and business impact.

  • Partner closely with R&D and Global Medical to integrate commercial insights into development and lifecycle strategies.

  • Seek business development opportunities to strengthen the hematology portfolio

  • Oversee operating budgets, resource allocation, and performance metrics, ensuring discipline and agility.

Lead and inspire teams

  • Directly lead marketing and sales, while providing matrixed leadership across Market Access, Insights & Analytics, Medical Affairs, and Patient Support Services.

  • Recruit, develop, and retain top commercial talent, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.

  • Build organizational capability to anticipate market shifts and deliver long-term portfolio success.

Shape external engagement

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with payers, providers, patient advocacy organizations, and key opinion leaders.

  • Champion an industry-leading patient engagement strategy to enhance understanding of patient needs and inform decision-making.

  • Represent Jazz externally as a credible and influential leader in oncology.

Contribute to portfolio leadership

  • Serve as a key member of the Oncology Commercial Leadership Team, shaping overall portfolio strategy and aligning execution across franchises.

  • Provide strategic input into portfolio planning, trade-off decisions, and resource prioritization.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience in biopharma, with a deep understanding of oncology (solid tumor experience strongly preferred).

  • Large team management experience preferred (10+ people)

  • Demonstrated success in P&L leadership roles, including responsibility for cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, market access, analytics, etc.).

  • Minimum of 2-3 years each of sales management and 5+ years of marketing leadership experience, with proven ability to grow in-line products in competitive markets.

  • Expertise in launch strategy, pricing and reimbursement, HEOR, and lifecycle management. Market Access experience is preferred

  • Strong track record of building and leading high-performing teams through growth and transformation.

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment and to build trusted relationships across R&D, Medical, and Commercial functions.

  • Recognized credibility with external stakeholders (KOLs, payers, advocacy groups) and strong market orientation.

  • Strategic, innovative thinker with a hands-on, execution-driven leadership style.

  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills at all organizational levels.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $370,000.00 - $444,000.00

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
