A Day in the Life of an RN-Outpatient Svs

Registered Nurses at our outpatient services center play a pivotal role in patient care, directly administering treatments and medications while monitoring patient conditions in a dynamic health setting. In this role, you'll need to apply your nursing skills effectively, adapting to varied patient needs and updating treatment protocols based on the latest medical guidelines. Collaborating closely with physicians, patients, and other healthcare staff, you will form an integral part of a team aimed at delivering the highest quality of care. Challenges include managing diverse and complex cases in a fast-paced environment, requiring sharp judgment and proficient skills. Typical duties revolve around utilizing the nursing process for care delivery, maintaining meticulous records, and participating in continuing education to enhance service standards.

About the Outpatient Services Department
Fighting Cancer, Restoring Hope

In Oncology at CRMC, we do more than treat cancer - we walk alongside our patients and their families, offering expert care, unwavering support, and hope in every step of their journey. Whether it's administering chemotherapy, managing symptoms, or simply being there to listen, our team is a source of strength for those facing life's toughest battle. Beyond treatment, we believe in supporting the whole person-body, mind, and spirit. That's why CRMC created the Courage Cabinet, a special fund made possible by our annual Kaleidoscope fundraiser making sure no patient has to choose between their health and basic necessities.
