Currently, we are seeking a Technical Problem Solving Engineer to join our Quality organization. The Technical Problem Solving Engineer will be responsible for the resolution of quality issues based on business metrics and coaching other team members to ensure implementation of structured problem solving. The Technical Problem Solving Engineer will provide cross functional problem-solving support within the United States and at international locations. The ability to teach problem solving methodologies in a classroom environment is desired. Specifically, the Technical Problem Solving Engineer must be a creative problem solver, proactive and steadfast in the identification and resolution vehicle quality. The selected individual will have a "big picture" approach to problem solving and issue resolution - the ability to reach from discontinuity. The Technical Problem Solving Engineer will have a broad knowledge of the entire automotive engineering, manufacturing and quality landscape and possess outstanding teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate must be a high-energy, hands-on individual with strength of convictions - a self-confident leader who, in part due to his/her personal presence, style and demeanor, effectively sells ideas and solutions to others. The candidate must display a level of passion and energy to achieve success. Moreover, this person must have unquestioned integrity. The Technical Problem Solving Engineer must be able to apply advanced problem-solving tools to resolve non-conformance issues. The selected candidate can quickly and accurately frame issue(s), identify the problem(s), and provide effective resolutions. The Technical Problem Solving Engineer will lead, direct and assertively seek solutions to root cause, as well as direct projects as the subject matter expert in reactive problem-solving methodologies. The selected candidate will serve as a coach and mentor of Kepner-Tregoe and Shainin techniques and teach new candidates problem-solving methodologies in classroom and laboratory settings. The Technical Problem Solving Engineer will also serve as a "company standard" in leading other employees in problem solving. The selected candidate will identify root cause to develop robust solutions to ensure design standards are consistently applied. The Technical Problem Solving Engineer will also plan, prioritize, set goals and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment. Specific responsibilities include:
