Job description
Job Summary:
As a Mechanical Assembler in the defense industry, you will play a critical role in assembling complex mechanical systems and components that meet rigorous military and aerospace standards. Your work will directly contribute to the safety, reliability, and functionality of defense systems, ensuring they meet the highest quality and performance standards. Key Responsibilities: *Assemble mechanical systems, parts, and components in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, and military standards (MIL-STD). *Inspect, test, and validate mechanical assemblies to ensure compliance with quality control requirements. *Operate various hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble components. *Perform troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical systems as required. *Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and quality assurance personnel, to meet production goals and deadlines. *Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspection results and rework documentation. *Follow safety protocols, including adherence to OSHA standards and workplace safety regulations. Required Qualifications: *High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred. *Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in the defense or aerospace sectors. *Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. *Strong attention to detail and quality control. *Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and follow strict guidelines for assembly processes. Preferred Qualifications: *Experience working in a defense-related or aerospace environment. *Previous experience with high-reliability systems and components. *Knowledge of military or defense industry compliance standards.
