System Engineer / Tier 3 Support

LinTech Global Inc. is recruiting for a System Engineer / Tier 3 Support to support our contract at HSIN remote full-time.

Position Overview:



  • The System Engineer / Tier 3 Support Specialist provides advanced technical support for applications running on Windows Server and RHEL systems. This role serves as the primary escalation point for complex issues escalated from Tier 2 support.
  • The position involves troubleshooting application issues, performing configuration, patching, and upgrades (including SharePoint, Adobe Connect, and other proprietary applications), and working closely with infrastructure, network, and security teams to resolve cross-platform problems. The position also involves developing automation and scripting solutions (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to improve efficiency and support deployments, migrations, and version upgrades across environments.
  • This position requires participation in an on-call rotation and after-hours maintenance and support to ensure application reliability and stability.


Job Duties:



  • Provide Tier 3 technical support for enterprise applications hosted on Windows Server and RHEL.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex application issues escalated from Tier 2 support.
  • Perform application-level administration, configuration, patching, and upgrades (including SharePoint, collaboration platforms, and custom web applications).
  • Collaborate with infrastructure support teams (infrastructure, network, and security) to coordinate resolution of cross-platform issues.
  • Develop and maintain automation and scripting solutions (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.) to streamline application support tasks.
  • Support deployments, migrations, and version upgrades across multiple environments.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and perform after-hours maintenance and critical support as required.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, root cause analysis, and knowledge base articles for support teams.
  • Ensure applications remain compliant with organizational security standards, patching requirements, and change management processes.


Required Qualifications:



  • The position is contingent on the candidate's ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry on Duty (EOD) suitability determination.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field - Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Proven experience as a Systems Engineer, Application Support Engineer, or Tier 3 Support Specialist.
  • Strong expertise in Windows Server environments with some exposure to RHEL Linux systems.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, or Python strongly preferred).
  • Hands-on experience supporting SharePoint (administration and issue resolution, SME-level expertise not required).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills including log review, performance monitoring, and diagnostic tools.
  • Familiarity and hands-on experience with Active Directory, IIS, SQL Server, and web application architecture.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Splunk, Nagios, or similar).
  • Strong collaboration skills to work across teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Clear, professional communication skills for documenting procedures and guiding Tier 2 support.
