What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Cashier and Customer Service Associate to join our team at our Windfern location. This role is essential to ensuring positive customer experience and efficient transaction processing. You will be the face of TGU, helping customers with purchases and inquiries while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

What You Will Do

- Provide prompt, friendly, and professional customer service

- Process POS transactions accurately and efficiently

- Handle cash, credit cards, checks, and provide correct change

- Run daily reports and balance daily closeout

- Answer phone calls and assist with general inquiries

- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

- Gain product knowledge to assist customers effectively

- Perform light housekeeping duties

- Support team operations and other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED

- Minimum 1 year of cashier experience

- Bilingual in Spanish and English

- Basic proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Basic math skills and attention to detail

- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license

- Availability to work Monday to Friday and rotating Saturdays

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in wholesale garden centers, nurseries, or farming

- Education or experience in horticulture, agriculture, or related fields

Physical Requirements and Environment

Must be able to stand, walk, reach, and use hands frequently. Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required (close, distance, color, focus). Exposure to wet/humid conditions, mechanical parts, outdoor weather, and loud noise.
