Job Overview:

This position is responsible for equipping the compressed air assessment
and commercial sales teams with the technical knowledge and tools needed to effectively sell complex
compressed air solutions. This role bridges the gap between product expertise and customer value, delivering impactful training programs that enhance product understanding, boost confidence
of the sales team , and accelerate sales performance. The ideal candidate combines deep technical acumen with strong communication skills to translate features into business benefits, empowering teams to close deals faster and more effectively.


Responsibilities:

  • Train new and existing assessment
    engineers and sales engineers in the science of compressed air
    to drive new equipment sales and continued attachment
    to Ingersoll Rand equipment through service offerings.

  • Develop and continuously improve standardized processes, tools, and training programs for North America assessment engineers and
    sales engineers.

  • Build and maintain proprietary diagnostic and reporting tools that analyze data
    for Ingersoll Rand equipment (e.g. screw, centrifugal, reciprocating, and scroll compressors) to evaluate health, efficiency , and reliability
    .

  • Partner with
    sales engineers to integrate
    air system assessment
    results into sales proposals to provide customers with comprehensive, sustainable solutions.

  • Drive adoption of remote data
    analytics technology for large-scale equipment monitoring and proactive opportunity identification, accelerating customer savings and driving system improvements.



Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in sales, marketing, or engineering required.
  • 3 years of direct sales experience required; previous account management experience desired.
  • Prior territory sales management and/or channel management experience. Prior industrial sales experience preferred.
  • Proven record of strategic thinking and leadership to achieve business results.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong people and relationship-building skills, including the ability to influence others.



Core Competencies:


  • Experience conducting
    assessments of compressed air systems

  • Proficient in Excel and other data analytics software
  • Demonstrates strong business acumen of the science of compressed air
    as a tool to drive sales .




Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Up to 25% travel required across North America to visit Ingersoll Rand offices to facilitate in-person trainings for assessment and sales engineers, and customer site visits to support air system assessments.

Pay Range:

The total pay range for this role is $80,000- $130,000. The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Ingersoll Rand, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
